Zipper T. Zipper
In New Horizons, Zipper arrives on the island on the Sunday before Bunny Day to tell the player about the festivities and present the Bunny Day bed DIY recipe but asks that the player keep his visit a secret. He will remain on the island for the entire day. Zipper returns on Bunny Day itself and can be found in the Resident Services plaza, where he will offer additional crafting recipes and exchange eggs. Zipper remains guarded about the zipper on his back, and villagers will mention teasing him. If the player attempts to talk to Zipper while standing behind him, Zipper will become irritated, and will demand the player stops. This has no effect on Zipper's attitude or actions in general.

Pavé
Pavé appeared in the Festivale event in New Horizons, where red, green, blue, purple, and rainbow feathers floated around town. Players could catch these feathers in their bug net similar to previous Festivale events, and could give three of each color to Pavé for a random Festivale item matching the color of the feathers. Giving Pavé one rainbow feather would also let the player obtain a random Festivale item in a rainbow color, and also could be used to customize the color of Festivale items. Rainbow feathers can also be crafted by the player using a DIY provided by Pavé himself, using one of each color feather, sans rainbow. At certain points, Pavé would ask the player to bring him three rainbow feathers in exchange for a Festivale float. At this time, players cannot trade any other feathers to Pavé.

Jack
In New Horizons, Jack’s role is mostly similar to his role in the previous game. At the beginning of October, Jack will send the player a letter containing his portrait. He visits the player on Halloween day from 5pm to midnight. When first given a piece of candy, Jack will grant the player with the Haunt reaction. Following this first interaction, he will give the player Halloween themed items, his outfit and two DIY recipes depending on how many lollipops and candy he’s given. Like in New Leaf, if he’s not given candy, he will play a trick on the player. After giving Jack a lollipop, he may gift the player a copy of his face or robe. When both are obtained, the player can then dress as Jack and trick their villagers into giving them candy. Each villager can only be tricked once.

Franklin
Franklin was confirmed to appear in New Horizons during the September 30th Autumn update trailer, along with Jingle.[2] Similar to New Leaf, Franklin will have the player assist him with preparing the feast. The holiday is now referred to as Turkey Day instead of the Harvest Festival. The dishes consists of clam chowder, pumpkin pie, gratin and fish meunière. The player can assist Franklin in preparing four meals for the Turkey Day feast. The player can either collect the ingredients on their own, or trade for ingredients with other villagers. As in New Leaf, there is one secret ingredient for each dish. Upon completing each dish, the player will receive a Turkey Day DIY. Turkey Day DIYs are available to buy from Nook's Cranny from the day after Turkey Day until the end of November. They can be customized from Autumn orange colors to Spring green colors, to accommodate players from the Southern Hemisphere who experience Turkey Day in the Spring.
